[...] Next up, Maloney links to a number of “Myer’s Minions”, arbitrarily picking 12 (several of which I hadn’t even seen until just moments ago) and calling them “The Dirty Dozen”. I presumed they would all be “simpy” copy and paste jobs of PZ’s post. That would make sense since he apparently has excluded FTSOS from the list, right? Well, most are repeats, but a couple clearly are not. One is Dr. Novella’s post which goes to length to refute Maloney’s bull and misrepresentations. Another is A Hot Cup of Joe. This one gets cited twice, once for a recount of PZ’s post. The second time, however, goes to length to address Maloney’s malarkey. [...]

Too simple:

1) You are a licensed naturopath. Which isn't the same thing as a doctor. You cannot simply call yourself a doctor, but are limited by law to using some form of "naturopath" or "naturopathic" with the word doctor. You did not go to a "medical school," you went to a naturopathic school. The professors there were, very likely, not physicians or surgeons. They were quacks -a.k.a. naturopaths.

2) You cannot prescribe anything that a customer of yours couldn't already buy over the counter. Including hormones and antibiotics.

3) You cherry pick your data. Dr. Novella stuck his metaphorical boot in your metaphorical ass on this one.

4) I've posted not a single lie about you. You deceive your customers into thinking that you hold the same weight and authority of the very profession you claim you are opposed to. You are a hypocrite and a liar. You are not a physician, which is the commonly understood definition of a "doctor." You do not hold a doctorate, which is the academically understood definition of doctor. Instead, you've exploited a loophole in a legislation that was very likely manipulated by a lobbying arm and pulled over the eyes of the ignorant in a wool of pseudoscience.

Oh. And I am far from angry. Indeed, I'm more and more amused with every passing day at the spectacle you're making of yourself and your "profession." Moreover, I agree that misinformed people are not harmless. Which is why I've chosen to be a part of those who inform.

Pseudoscientific nonsense like naturopathy, homeopathy and other "alternative" medical approaches do cause harm. At the least to people's wallets. At the most, to their lives.

Simple:

1) I am a licensed doctor. I went to medical school, took exams, and got a state license.
2) I prescribe a variety of drugs including hormones and antibiotics.
3) I have discussed the "cherry picking" nonsense at length on Dr. Novella's site.
4) Lying about me and then posting more lies about me doesn't make you right. Please take the time to read my replies at PZ Myers' site. Angry, misinformed people are not harmless and you are part of a mob.
