It might be helpful if you could elaborate on that "purely scientific perspective" and describe what makes the ground dangerous from that perspective.

The question becomes: should those in science not respond to the charges and assertions of the superstitious as they use their fundamentalist religious ideologies to shape public opinion? Many chose not to for various reasons. Some aren't comfortable with the public spotlight; others want to respect their beliefs; still seek to avoid confrontation as a waste of time.

From a purely scientific perspective, I repeat, a purely scientific perspective, I think you are on very dangerous ground.

If this type of partisan tit-for-tat is what passes for 'science' in 21st century America, then the new dark age surely beckons.

Oddly, that's the most scientic I've ever seen Menton, who must make a lot of money misrepresenting science with many speaking engagements, and many many videos. He's also a good measuring stick for gullable. Very little of what he says makes any scientific sense at all, however you put a "doctor" in front of somebody's name there will always be a group of people who will listen to him.
